This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. J. H. Neisler of this office on

March 2-4, 1993.
The inspection included a review of authorized activities
for your Quad Cities Station, Units I and 2.
At the conclusion of the
!

inspection, the findings were discussed with those members of your staff
j
identified in the enclosed report. The purpose of the inspection was to
j

determine whether existing Quad Cities operating procedures were adequate to
cope with a station blackout pending the future installation of alternate AC
power generators.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within
this area, the inspection consisted of a selective examination of procedures,
.
representative records, observations, and interviews with personnel.

No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this
inspection.
'
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of
this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC
Public Document Room.
