Fitness for Duty Program Data for the Period 7/1/92-12/31-92 Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 26.71, enclosed is the testing data and associated results for the Fitness for Duty Program at Vermont Yankee. The attached information includes both our corporate and plant locations as our program does not distinguish between the two sites but treats them as a single entity.
Also, provided as Attachment A, is the evaluation and analysis of the data for this same period.

FOR CAUSE TEST RESULTS l

One (1) employee -and two (2) Contractor Personnel were tested i
for cause based on observed behavior, all with negative l
results.
-l POSITIVE TEST RESULTS Randon: One (1) employee tested positive for drugs (Cocaine),
one (1)
Long Term Contractor tested positive for drugs (Marijuana).
The employee received disciplinary action,
[
counseling and rehabilitation in accordance with Vermont Yankee policy.
Following the rehabilitation the individual l
had his access restored and entered a follow-up testing l
program.
The Long Term Contractor had his access

authorization terminated.

i FOLLOW-UP TESTING PROGRAM l
1 As a result of the above testing results and positive test i
results from previous periods there are three (3) individuals currently in the Vermont Yankee follow-up testing program.

POSITIVE TEST RESULTS ASSESSMENT The significantly lower positive test result rate for this period l
compared to previous periods indicates that Vermont Yankee i
continues to maintain an' effective FFD program which ensures that the plant site remains a work environment free from the effects of drugs or alcohol.
The program continues to serve as an effective
)
deterrent to the use or introduction of drugs or alcohol;in the l
work place.
The results of this period are consistent.with the expected results during a period that does not include a' refueling outage.
