On June 10, 1992, the NRC administered its second Generic Fundamentals Examination primary sourc(GFE) that used the respective INP0 BWR and PWR catalogs as its e for examination development.
For your information, Enclosures 1 and 2 contain a copy of the June 10 BWR and PWR exams. The exam was administered to 134 candidates at 22 facilities.
As in the February 1992 exam, this exam was developed using the merged INP0/NRC test bank as available in your catalogs.
In keeping with our plan, approximately one-half of the test items appearing on the exam were previously validated catalog items; the balance of the exam consisted of approximately 40 items from the unvalidated pool of catalog items and 10 new items, unavailable from the catalog to meet our sampling plan requirements. We believe this exam was a good product and valid measure of generic fundamental knowledge.
We trust this information is helpful in your updating the merged INP0/NRC test bank and INP0 Catalogs.
