Quick Report On Petrolia, CA Earthquakes of April 25-26, 1992 This is to commend you and your staff on the quick report you prepared on the April 25-26 Petrolia, CA earthquakes.

Your report was dated April 28, 1992, only two days after the event occurred.

The report was detailed and extremely timely.

The Cape Mendocino record with its 2 g peak horizontal ground acceleration is one for the record book.

We are very much interested in obtaining information about the physical condition of the ground surface near the recording station and any evidence of the damage potential of the ground motion.
