By letter dated October 25, 1991, Mr. Lawrence A. Walsh of the Westinghouse Owners Group submitted a Topical Report entitled,
" Compliance to ASME Code Case N-481 of the Primary Loop Pump Casing - Westinghouse Type Nuclear Steam Supply Systems,"

l The Materials and Chemical Engineering Branch, Division of j
Engineering Technology, has the review responsibility for the j
report under the NRC Technical Assignment Control (TAC) No.
M82267.
We have determined that it is not appropriate for the i
staff to review the report until the NRC has completed its i
consideration regarding the acceptability of ASME Code Case 481 for inclusion in Regulatory Guide 1.147.
Further, the current workload with the staff will not support raising the priority of the requested review above more safety-affecting activities.
We will provide you with a review schedule once the staff endorses Code Case N-481.
