11TH ACNW MEETING FOLLOW-UP ITEMS Based on discussions regarding methods for improved implementation and Vollow-up of ACNW recomendations, the Comittee agreed that a sumary of Actions, Agreements, Assignments, and Requests made during each ACNW meeting will be sent to your office following each meeting.
Attached per this agreement is a list of the requests made at the lith ACNW i
meeting, June 13, 1989, Those items in the list " Actions. Agreements, Assignments, and Requests" that do not deal with requests made of the NRC Staff or that are not pertinent to NRC Staff activities have not been included in this follow-up list.

1.
Review of the Division Draft Site Characterization Analysis (SCA)
The Comittee discussed with the ACNW Consultants and NRC Staff the following six modules of the Division Draft SCA:
SCA MODULE i
Geology / Geophysics Materials Engineering / Waste Package Geotechnical Engineering Hydrology / Geochemistry Perfomance Assessment Quality Assurance The NMSS staff will consider the coments and concerns expressed during the meeting, and the NMSS staff will provide to the Comittee an updated version of the SCA introduction, sumary and director's coments, prior to the next meeting.
L The NRC staff noted that the first annual update of the Site Characteri-l zation Plan -(SCP) by DOE will be available by mid-July.
The ongoing NRC/ACNW review will be based on the current plan, however.

ACNW Membership Dr. Moeller noted Dr. William Hinze's participation in his first meeting as a Comittee moaber.

CNWRA Activities and Reports During the next meeting, the Comittee will be briefed by Mr. Silberberg, RES, on the Center for Nuclear Waste Regulatry Analyses (CNWRA) activ-ities.
The Committee Chairman agreed to recuider a visit to CNWRA in San Antonio, Texas, sometime this fall or winter.
Dr. Hoeller requested that the Comittee members and consultants be placed on the distribution list for future CNWRA reports, and that copies of recent CNWRA reports, including those on uncertainties in the regu-latory process, be sent to the members and consultants.

Future Activities Appendix A is the tentative agendas for future ACNW meetings that were proposed to the Comittee.
