The Comittee continued its discussion of its draft report on the Safety Goal Policy Implementation Plan but was unable to complete the report during this meeting. Additional time will be scheduled during the February 9-11, 1989 ACRS meeting to complete this i
- report, 8.
The Comittee decided not to coment on the )roposed 10 CFR Parts 50 and 55 rule on " Education and Experience lequirements for Senior Reactor Operators and Supervisors at Nuclear Power Plants" until after the public coments have been received and resolved by the NRC staff. The Comittee had no objection to the issuance of the proposed rule for public coment.

The Committee expressed concern as to the procedures by which proposed resolutions for Generic Issues are sent to the ACRS for an i
o>portunity to review them. This topic will be discussed during i
t1e February 8,1989 meeting of the Safety Research Program Subcommittee.
- 10. The Committee will discuss the ACRS' annual report to the U.S.
Congress during the February 9-11, 1989 ACRS meeting.
- 11. The Committee discussed the NRR response to the ACRS letter com-menting on the proposed resolution of Generic Issue 99, " Improved Reliability of RHR Capability in PWRs." The Committee requested that cognizant NRC staff representatives be invited to the February 9-11, 1989 ACRS meeting to discuss this issue further.
j FUTURE ACTIVITIES The Committee agreed to a tentative schedule for the February 9-11, 1989 9
ACRS meeting as shown in Appendix A.
