January 5, 1990 Note to Neil Jensen Thank you for sending me copies of the recent filings in the district court in the Comley subpoena enforcement matter.
Effective January 1, 1990, the responsibility for the investigation of the Comley/Fortuna relationship was transferred to the Inspector General.
He, therefore, should be kept informed of all future developments respecting the endeavors to obtain Mr. Comley's compliance with the subpoena.
I would appreciate, however, being kept similarly informed.
Although I no longer have any official responsibility for the investigation, the subpoena was issued at my request and was enforced by the district court largely on the strength of my affidavit.
I thus continue to have a decided interest in the outcome of the matter.
