,The NRC has completed a review of the Radiological and Engineering Assessment a

-(REA) for the vicinity property numbered GJ-97008-0T, located in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Based upon our review, we conclude that the criteria of 40 CFR 192.21(c) has-been' met for the application of supplemental standards.

We agree that no-a.

remedial action is reasonable under the circumstances, and the requirements cf 40 CFR'192.22(a).are therefore satisfied.

We therefore concur with the appli_ cation of_ supplemental standards as proposed in the REA for vicinity property GJ-97008-0T..

l As noted in our correspondence to you related to vicinity property

'GJ-97011-0T, dated May 31, 1990, this is another case.where removal of

. contaminated' material at some time in the future could pose an ultimate disposal problem.
