Enclosed is an application for an export license (XSNM02540), recently received by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, for the export of low-enriched uranium for use as reload fuel in Shimane Unit No. 1 in Japan. Assurances from the Government of Japan are required that the material will be subject to all of the terms and conditions of an agreement for cooperation.
