What is the status of your review of the advanced large light water reactor designs?
CHA!i. MAN CARR:
The review of General Electric Advanced Boiling Water Reactor-is well underway.
The Licensing Review Basis document, addressing the review process and key technical issues, was issued in August 1987. Draft Safety Evaluation Reports-on several chapters have already been issued. Proposed modifications to existing regulations are currently under review by the Commission and the ACRS.
The review of Combustion Engineering's System 80+ is just beginning. The s
review of the LRB document and initial design information is in progress.
The Preliminary Design Approval review of Westinghouse's RESAR/SP 90 is com-plete and the Safety Evaluation Report is in preparation.
