Dear Mr. Trejo:

This refers to your application dated ?.pril 18, 1900, requesting renewal of certificate-of Compliance No. 9193 for the Model No. NES-5 package, which expired on January 31, 1990.

Since your request for renewal was submitted after.the expiration date, the Certificate of Compliance is deemed to have expired on January 31, 1990. -Accordingly, the use of this package under the General License of Subpart C of 10 CFR Part 71 or under the provisions of 49 CFR 6173.471-is terminated.

l if you'should desire to re-certify the-NES-5 package as a Type B(U) package, it will be necessary for you to submit a new application.

The appl.ication should be complete =in itself and-should-include package drawings and-all e

pertinent information which demonstrates that the package meets the requirements of 10 CFR Part 71.

Preferably, the application should be in the-format of; Regulatory Guide 7.9.

The sections on o)erating procedures, acceptance tests,.~and maintenance programs should ae reviewed to assure they are complete and current.
