Dear Mr. MacDonald:
General Atomics (GA) holds a valid Certificate of Compliance No. 6703 for a shipping package, Model No. RG 1, with an expiration date of May 31,1990.
I At the time we received your helpfulletter of March 13,1990, reminding us of the expiration date of this package, we reviewed our plans and projections and thought we may not have any further need for this package. However, we now feel there is sufficient possibility of needing to use the package and we have decided to request renewal of the Certificate of Compliance for a period of five years.
l Since the existing valid certificate will expire prior to the issuance of an extension, we understand that the package can not be used until can extension is officially
- granted.
A check in the amount of $150 to cover the renewal fee prescribed in 10 CFR 170.31 is being sent under separate cover.
