This refers to the management meeting held with you and Mr. J. Aal of your
staff.and Messrs. R. Pate and H. Chaney, of this office, lated to theat your Bakersfie~1d,
California office on A ril 19, 1990.
The meeting was re
inspection findings (N C Inspection Report 90-001) of your activities
conducted at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California on February 2,1990, under
a general NRC license granted per 10 CFR 150.20.
The findings of this
inspection and our concerns about your radiography program were forwarded to
you b letter on March 5,1990.
Sub ects discussed during the meeting are
descr bed in the report which is enc osed for your information.
As discussed with you at this meeting appendix A contains a Notice of
Violation (NOV) covering)the apparent violations referenced in the NRC
Inspection Report (90-01 . The meeting minutes, appendix B contains several
apparentviolationsthatarebeingclassifiedasnoncitedviolationsin
accordance with the guidance contained in Section V.A. of the " General
Statement of Policy and Procedures for NRC Enforcement Action " 10 CFR 2,
Appendix-C (1990).
Due to the completeness of your self initiated written
response and a site review of your corrective actions to the apparent
violations identified in the NRC Inspection Report no further response will be
required to the appendix A violations.
In accordance with~Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2,
Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and its
,
enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
