Dear Mr. Ocogel:
Enclosed is a copy of the exercise report for the November 16, 1988, full-participation exercise of the offsite radiological emergency response plans, site-specific to the Millstone Nuclear Power Plant. The report was prepared by Region I of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FD%).
One deficiency was identified in this exercise (Objective 21 - Reception centers). The deficiency was corrected in a Ramadial Exercise ocxducted on April 22, 1989. Twenty-one Areas Requiring Corrective Action were also identified as a result of this exercise.
Based on corrective actions already taken, FDR considers that offsite radiological emergercy preparedness is adequate to provide reasonable assurance that appropriate moasures can be taken offsite to protect the
. health and safety of the public living in the vicinity of the site, in the event of a radiological emergency. Therefore, the approval of the offsite plans for the State of CErieYcicut, site-specific to the Millstone Nuclear Power Plant granted under 44 CIR 350 on October 9, 1984, continues to be"in effect.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call me on 646-2871.
