OF MAY 3, 1990 MEETING t
On May 3, 1990, the NRC staff met with legal representatives of Georgia Power Company (GPC) and Oglethorpe Power Company (OPC) to discuss concerns OPC had with the issuance of Amendment No. 30 (corrects typographical errors in the Antitrust license conditions) to Facility Operating License NPF-68 for Vogtle ElectricGeneratingPlant(VEGP), Unit 1.
With regard to OPC's specific concerns with Amendment 30, the discussion concluded with OPC agreeing that the f
changes were consistent with previous antitrust language and that the changes were typographical in nature. However, OPC as a co. owner of the VEGP expressed 5
a larger concern that it should be more involved in the ::ommunications between NRC and GPC (which is authorized to act as the agent for the licensees of VEGP) particularly in matters involving antitrust issues. The staff stated that it GPC)put Oglethorpe Power Company on the service list for correspondence (NRC to can involving VEGP. However, the issue of whether GPC involves OPC in 4
correspondence going to the NRC remains a problem that must be resolved between OPC and GPC.
