The NRC had no-copy of the Radiological and Engineering' Assessment (REA) for this property nor any record of NRC concurrence with-the application of supplemental standards. ~ DOE furnished a copy of the REA in their March 16 submittal, along with evidence of verbal NRC concurrence for application of
. supplemental standards.
A review of the REA indicated the application of supplemental standards was appropriate.
However, the quality and completeness of this REA,'made in 1987, was not consistent with current standards..Because of the age of this REA:and the fact that supplemental standards are appropriate for this property, in addition to the fact'that the remedial action has been completed, the staff.
recommends accepting the REA as is.
The completion report for this property contained sufficient information and L
data :to conclude that remedial actions were properly completed on this l-
