issued for the Model AI 500 SU Type B(U) package, with the changes described below, i
1 In the current Revision (Number 3 submitted 31 March 1986), we received approval to implement a locking mechanism in the 500 SU.
Since that amendment was requested in March 1986 we have gone through several acquisitions (i.e Tech / Ops, Gamma Industries and Gulf Nuclear) and several changes in management.
Due to these changes the locking mechanism has not been installed on the 500 SU.
We request approval to continue shipping the "old" version as described in Revision 0. and.1 dated 20 March - 1985: of-this g.
source. changer.
1 Internally we will commit that after-1 January 1991 all 500 SU's will have this locking mechanism for any shipment out of Amersham.
However, due to the time period that some customers hold on to these source changers, there will still be several 1
that are shipped from customers that may not have the locking I
mechanism.
We therefore request that the certificate-be condi-tioned to allow the use of both versions as they both have demon-i strated their ability to meet Type B(U) requireme'nts.
I have also updated the shipping instructions in Section 7.
I have enclosed the application fee of $150.00 to cover'the-cost of the request for renewal.
