NOTICE OF ISSUANCE AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE-a The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission (Comission) has, issued Amendment -
No. 106 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-25' issued to the Commonwealth-Edison Company (CECO), for operation of the Dresden Unit 3, located in Grundy.

6 County, Illinois. The amendment is effective as of the'date of its' issuance.
The amendment changes the expiration date for the Dresden Nuclear Power-Station, Unit 3, Facility Operating License No. DPR-25, from October 14, 2006 to oanuary 12, 2011. 'This extends the operating life of the plant-to 40 full-years from the date of the operating license.
The application for the amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and.the Comission's rules and regulations. The Comission has made appropriate-findings as required by the Act and the Comission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I,.whuh are set forth in the license amendment.
Notice of Consideration of Issuance of ~ Amendment and Opportunity for Prior Hearing in connection with this action was published in the FEDERAL REGISTER.on March 25,1987(52FR9561). No request for a hearing or petition for leave to l:
intervene was filed following this notice.
The Comission has prepared an Environmental Assessment and Finding of l

4 v environmental impact attributable to the action beyond'that-which has been predicted and described in the Commission's Final Environmental Statement-for the facility dated November 1973.
