Good morning ladies and gentlemen.
l This is an affirmation session.
We have one item to come I
before us this morning.
Before I ask the Secretary to lead us through the item for affirmation, do any of my fellow Commissioners have any opening comments they would like to make?
If not Mr. Secretary, please proceed.
MR. CHILK:
The paper before the Commission, Mr. Chairman, is SECY-89-75, the decision on the certified ruling in ALAB-919.
In this paper, the Commission is being asked to act on an Order which responds to a question certified to the Commission in ALAB-919.
In that ALAB, the Appeal Board certified to the Commission its. ruling that the environmental contention proffered by the intervenor New England Coalition i
on Nuclear Pollution and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts was not admissible in this proceeding.
All Commissioners have approved an Order attached to our memorandum of April 4, which returns the matter to-the Appeal Board for further consideration in consistence with the guidance in that Order.
