Enclosed is.an application for Amendment No. 12 to export license XSNM02161 received recently by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The license-is amended to show the addition of 7,000 kilograms of uranium and 120 kilograms of uraniun-235 for use as reload ANF-1 for Untenreser in West Germany.
Assurances are required that the addition will be subject to all of the terms and conditions of an agreement for cooperation. Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurances will be appreciated.

Dear Mr. Peterson:
Advanced Nuclear Fuels Corporation (ANF) requests that the referenced License for export of nuclear fuels to EURATOM nations be amended as described below.
Unterweser - West Germany Please increase the amount authorized for shipment to Unterwessr by 120 kg U 235 contained in 7,000 kg total uranium.
This~ increase is to supply additional customer requirements for reload ANF-1.
The total amount authorized for shipment to Unterweser then becomes 2,680 kg U-235 contained in 79,270 kg total uranium.
This increase will bring the total for the referenced License to 34,727 kg U-235 contained in 990,141 kg total uranium.
The origin of the uranium is unknown at this time.
