Dear Administrative Judges:

' ~~~/

During the telephone conference of March 4,1982, the Licensing Board requested that Westinghouse and the NRC Staff provide answers to several enumerated questions. Tr. at 1100-20.

Enclosed herewith are the Staff's responses to questions 1, 4, 5 and 7.

It should be noted that the Staff's responses to Board questions 1 and 7 contain information, which, in the Staff's opinion, has been claimed pro-prietary by Westinghouse. Accordingly, the Staff has limited the distri-bution of these responses to the Board and those parties covered by the protective orders issued by the board.

Westinghouse has agreed to review the Staff responses to determine if it will continue a claim for proprietary protection for information contained in the Staff's responses.

Also enclosed is the affidavit of Timothy G. Colburn attesting to the truth and correctness of the testimony filed February 25, 1982.

(See Tr. at 1137)

In the course of responding to Board question 5, the Staff reviewed W
