Thio praliminary notification constitutes EARLY notice of events of POSSIBLE rafety or public interest significance. The information is as initially received without veri-fication or evaluation, and is basically all that is known by the staff on this date.

Notification of Unusual Event Zimmer Nuclear Power Station Alert Docket No. 50-358 Site Area Emergency Moscow, Ohio 45153 General Emergency vy Not Applicable Subjset : BOMB THREAT At 12:55 p.m. (EST) the construction switchboard operator at the Zimmer site received a call from an unidentified male who stated: "A bomb will go off 1,n your suppression pool at 2 o' clock." The licensee searched the pressure suppression pool and reactor building and found no evidence of a bomb. Zimmer is in the final stages of construction, and unirradiated fuci is stored on site.
Neither the licensee nor Region III (Chicago) plan to issue a news release.
Region III was notified of this incident at 2:35 p.m. (EST) by the licensee. No law enforcement agencies were notified.
The State of Ohio will be notified.
