" Draft SER Confirmatory Issues" The purpose of this letter is to advise you of the status of the Clinton SER issues.
At the time of SER publication, there were twenty Open Issues and sixty-five Confirmatory Issues listed.
There has been significant progress since that time.
Attached is a revised schedule for closing out the Open and Con-firmatory SER Issues.
This schedule shows the progress we have made since the original edition was transmitted to Mr. Miller by the referenced letter.
Some general conclusions can be drawn from the revised schedule:
1.
There are at this time fifteen remaining Open Issues.
2.
Approximately seventeen Confirmatory Issues (such as Numbers 3, 26, 40, etc.) are indicated as " believed to be closed."
Closcout of these items needs verification or confirmation from the NRC.
3.
One new Confirmatory Issue not tabulated in the SER has been
- added, i.e.,
Steam Bypass of Suppression Pool" (6.2.1.7).
We conclude that by about May 1, 1982, there will remain approxi-mately twelve Open Issues.
It is possible, however, that this number could be significantly less because there are a number of Issues such as Numbers 1 and 20 which could be resolved and reclassified almost any time.
In accordance with your request, we have included anticipated closcout dates for all Open. Issues which have become Confirmatory since the SER publication.
If you have any questions regarding these matters, please bring them to my attention at your earliest convenience.
