Dear Mr. Clark:
I am in receipt of your letter referenced above which expressed concern about our letter P-82033.
Please ce assured that in the future we will direct all of our comments to your office.
I am sorry if the letter caused any confusion.
In the early days of the contract with ORNL we were directed in the interest of time, to send our comments directly to Syd Ball as we did when we commented on ORNL's overall draft report on NUREG 0737.
I guess I just continued along these lines without asking for any further guidance from your office.
Our letter wasn't intended to cause confusion, but rather was intended to set forth our thoughts on the matter. We recognize that the NRC has final acceptance on contractor reports, and we do not take any action on such reports until directed to do so.
We appreciate your efforts in providing us with these reports, and most certainly we do not want to jeopardize this arrangement.
