Dear Mr. Keppler:
This is to report the status of pipe support inspections at Byron Station which were promised in reference (b) in response to a violation identified in reference (a).
The inspection of installed supports was scheduled for completion by October 15, 1981.
Over 8500 supports have been checked.
There are 55 supports for which the inspection will not be completed until late 1982.
In general, these supports are being redesigned as a result of revised piping analysis calculations and will be inspected when new material is received and installed.
