Durir.g our telephone conversation yesterday, you requested a copy of the A-list for a BWR and a PWR. This is in response to that request.
Enclosed is Section 3.2 of the FSAR for Grand Gulf, a GE BWR. Table 3.2-1 has a column titled "Q-List" which shows "Y" where 10 CFR 50 Appendix B is applied and "N" where it is not.
Footnote m of Table 3.2-1 states that "the safety-related instrumentation described in Sections 7.2 through 7.6 are subject to the pertinent requirements of the quality assurance programs."
Since these sections are too voluminous to send in their entirety, I have attached portions of these sections which I feel may be pertinent to your s tudy. Any additional pages should probably be requested from a Public Docu-ment Room.
Also enclosed is Section 3.2 of the FSAR for Byron /Braidwood, a Westinghouse PWR.
The applicant states in Chapter 17 of the FSAR that items shown as Safety Category I in Table 3.2-1 will be under centrol of the QA program.
The asterisked note in Table 3.2-1 refers to Table 7.1-2, so I have attached this table from the Byron /Braidwood FSAR to Section 3.2.
