On 8/10 the reactor power level was reduced to u44% to perform a series of Turbine Protection and Control Tests. The reactor power level was restored to 100% after the tests and remained there for the balance of the month.

5-Ginna Station Maintenance Report for August, 1980 During August, normal inspections and minor maintenance was performed.

The only major safety related maintenance was replacement of a faulty Q flux controtter feeding Channel II of the Reactor Protection System.

The reactor power level averaged 100% for the report month, with the following exceptions:

On 8/10 the reactor power level was reduced to ~ hh% to perform a series of Turbine Protective and Control Tests. The reactor power level was restored to 100% after the test.

On 8/22 the reactor power level was reduced to - 995 to perform a periodic test on the Auxiliary Feedvater System.

On 8/26 the reactor power level was reduced to 95% due to a t'urbine runback.

On 8/27 the reactor power level was reduced to a 97% to perform a periodic test on the Auxiliary Feedvater System.
