SUBJECT:
PROPOSED LICENSE TO EXPORT NUCLEAR COMPONENTS TO BELGIUM (XCOM0611)
On February 25, 1982, Nuclear. Valve Corporation filed an application to export 24 carbon and stainless steel valves to Belgium for use in the Tihange 1 nuclear power reactor.
Nuclear Valve has requested expeditious processing of this license application as the equipment is ready for immediate shipment and is urgently required by the ct.stomer.
The staff has concluded that the proposed export meets the requirements of the Atomic Energy Act, as amended, and would not be inimical to ;5e common defense and security of the United States.
In view of the above considerations, the staff issued the license without the normal 15-day waiting period.
