After review of your letter of Hovember'16,1981, in response to our letter dated October 29, 1981, we find that additional infonnation is needed.

Stems and discs which were nonconforming to the dimensional require-ments of Rockwell drawings were furnished to the Brunswick Electric Steam Station.
It is our understanding that these parts had been previously accepted by Rockwell personnel as being in conformance with applicable drawing requirements. Your r onse to this matter is therefore unsatisfactory, in that it failes t ither clearly recognize this situation, or provide the requested %qrrective actions and steps to preclude recurrence of similar events. N 2.
We fail to understand the purpose of your siatement ion regard to the applicability of Appendix B to 10 CFR Part 50. We require licensees to pass on applicable parts of 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix B, to their vendors through procurement documents, as appropriate, in order to assure the use of necessary quality criteria in manufacture of safety-related components.
In this specific instance, it is our.
understanding that Appendix B to 10 CFR Part 50 was imposed on you by your customer. An unresolved items was issued in regard to this matter, in that you claimed to have taken exception to this require-ment, but were unable to demonstrate any documentation to this effect to the NRC inspector.
