Summary of Ebasco's Nuclear Power Plant Experience Construction Service Ebasco has more than 20 years of experience in the design, engineering and/or construction of nuclear plants in the United States and world-wide.
These plants, which have a total capacity in excess of 18,000 megawatts, are listed in Table 1.
This tabulation shows that Ebasco has performed a variety of functions (i.e., architect-engineer, consulting engineering, constructor, and construction manager) either singly or in combination.
Ebasco was the constructor or construction manager at 17 nuclear units, 6 of which are PWR's.
Ebasco has served as architect-engineer for 5 nuclear units at which construction services were performed by other organizations; and has providad construction services at one unit (Ft. St. Vrain Project) to another archit:ct-engineer's design.
Ebasco has specific experience in the take-over of construction managem.et activities at the Laguna Verde project, where work had been started by others.
Ebasco's current PWR experience involves the performance of construction services at St. Lucie Unit No. 2, Waterford Unit No. 3, and WPPSS No. 3.
It should be noted that Table 1 lists the primary construction function performed by Ebasco (Construction Management or Constructor).
In cases such as Waterford 3, full scope Construction Maragement services are provided by Ebasco.
In addition selected construction services are also provided.
Quality Assurance, i
Ebasco's Quality Assurance Program for nuclear power plants has evolved over many years of experience in the nuclear industry. The Program has been formalized and documented in a Topical Report, ETR-1001, Rev. 10A, which has l
been approved by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for incorporation i
into docket by reference. The Program is implemented by organization indivi-duals who are qualified to the requirements of applicable NRC Regulatory Guides, Cooes and ANSI Standards. Compliance with the Program requirements is assured through Quality Assurance (QA) Management and project audits.
