Gentlemen:
This letter constitutes an final report concerning the subject deficiency, initially reported to Mr. W. F. Christianson of 'he NRC under the requirements of 10CFR50.55(e).
All of the 480V motor control centers at this facility have been inspected to verify that the wiring is the proper size, as specified by the manufacture.
Deficiencies were identified on three (3) safety related and three (3) non-safety related motor control centers, involving a total of twelve (12) circuitbreakers.
The wiring on these circuitbreakers will be replaced with correctly sized wire.
Two (2) safety related circultbreakers have already been rewired. The re-mainder will require ordering additional wire. Actions necessary to close this item are expected to be completed by June 30, 1982.
To prevent recurrence of this deficiency, construction personnel will be notified to assure that correct wiring is installed whenever soch changes are made.
Futhermore, the architect / engineer has been requested to include a note on appropriate wiring diagrams that instructs field personnel to verify that circuitbreaker wiring is of correct size.
