In accordance with Section 3507 of Public Law 96-511 of December 11, 1980 and regulations of the Office of ilanagement and Budget. I am enclosing for UMB review copies of Standard Form-83 and the Supporting Statement for l
an amendment to 10 CFR 50 regardingi financial qu:lification.
The fiRC final rule is now before the Cohnission. fio paperwork burden will be imposed until the Conmission approves tne rule, OMB approves the papemork requirements and the rule becomes effectiva according to its terms. When the rule is effective, the necessary action will be initiated to incorporate the burden into the flRC inventory.
In accordance with NRC's procedures, my staff has made an independent review of the practical utility and necessity for the proposed information collection and we are in concurrence with this prcposal. We have also reviewed for duplication and found no similar requirement in the agency.. Therefore, we are transmitting this material for appropriate O!E review and approval.
