Dear Mr. Keppler:
On the date of February 19, 1982, James W. Cook, Vice President, Projects Engineering and Construction at Consumers Power. Company wrote you a letter providing information concerning a rodent damaged electrical penetration wiring and cables.
The quality assurance program outlined in the letter does not seem to initiate sufficient action to prevent future occurrence of damage to wiring and cables by rodents.
As pointed out in the letter, the probable cause is maintenance of cleanliness and the removal of debris upon which rodents thrive.
The Mapleton Intervenors request information as to future action by Consumers Power Company to prevent further erosion of cable and wiring integrity due to rodent damage and also, the total cost of replacing the damaged cables and wires and the future costs to pre-I, ' ~ ~ ~ ~ - - -
