Dear Mr. Denton:

In Mr. Mooney's letter addressed to you, dated the 25th of January, 1982, considerable information is discussed concerning the feed-water isolation pits and two cracks in an adequately reinforced concrete number and cracks in the feedwater isolation pits.

The letter implies that much labor and energy had to be employed in the attempt by Consumers Power company to make adjustment for the serious errors in quality control. In view of the above, the Mapleton Intervenors petitions that we be furnished information as to the total cost involved in carrying out the work that has been outlined in Mr. Mooney's letter addressed to you dated January 25, 1982.

Copies of this letter are being furnished to the Atomic Safety and Licensing Appeal Board and to the other interested parties.

Sincprely,
