Dear Mr. Carter:

.,; I I am writing to you in reference to the proclems of the Indian Point Nuclear Power Plants.
I realize that nuclear plants supply less expensive' electricity and employs a great deal of people in the community, but I am very concerned about the environment and the physical welfare of the people in the surrounding area.
I feel there should be stricter regulations cet by the N.R.C. and procedures set in case of a melt down for any evacuation that may be necessary. The evacuation procedure performed at the Rochester power plant proved to be a horrendous endeavor and a total lack of communication was experienced.
I hope this is not an indication of how all the power plants are run.
With this in mind, I urge you, Mr. Carter to vote in favor of revoking the plants' licenses.
Very truly yours, i
