Dear Mr. Denton:

The Boani of Directors of the Exeter Area Chamber of Ccmnerce wish to announce the following request which they endorsed on February ll, 1982 at their regular meeting. This request has been prampted by the " life concerns" issue of an evacuation plan under consideration for the Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant.

Their positim on this issue is as follows:

"The Board of Directors of the Exeter Area Chamtn".

of Ccrnerce of Exeter, New IIampshire hereby regaest that before an operating license be issued to the Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant that a realistic and workable evacuation plan for the ccmnunities in a ten (10) mile radius of Seabrook, New IIanpshire becme a reality."

It should be noted by the reader that this request is reflective only of the Board of Directors and is not construed to mean that the Board of Directors is either in favor of or opposed to nuclear power. This action by the Board of Directors is also an independent action and does not reflect a referendum of the membership of the Exeter Area Chamber of Ccmerce.
