Yankee Large Break Appendix K Evaluation Model

Dear Sir :

Ref erence (c) requested information on the ef fects of single failure assumptions (e.g., loss of one low head safety injection pump) on the Yankee approved Appendix K evaluation model for large break ECCS analyses.

For this analyses, it has been identified by Westinghouse that no single failure may be the conservative assumption.

This information is currently being prepared and will be submitted by Ma rch 19, 1982.

If you have any questions, please contact us.

Very truly yours, YANKEE ATCMIC ELECTRIC COMPANY 4.
