Dear Sir:
At our meeting with you and flessrs. Novak and Eccleston in Bethesda on February 19, 1982, we described Boston Edison's concerns regarding the potential safety hazard ofintense construction activity on modification work during plant opera-ti ons. Our plan to control the level of and to reschedule work, as necessary, was also described.
The results of this replanning effort indicate the immediate need for rescheduling completion of the TMI project tasks (post accident sampling system and hydrogen /
oxygen analysis system) to February 1,1983.
This supersedes our request in Reference (a), Items II.B.3 and II.F.1.6.
Your expeditious review of this matter is requested.
At the February 19, 1981 meeting, we indicated the potential need for a four-month scheoule extension on torus external modifications. We have reviewed this task and believe it will be completed on or before May 1,1982, as per Reference (b).
We appreciate your cooperation in this matter and will be in contact with you as our future planning is further developed for other potentially affected mod ification work.
C)OI Very truly yours,
