FINAL REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF MIDLAND DES The Mialand Plant Draft Environmental Statement (DES) in support of the Midland operating license is scheduled to be issued on Febnjary 5,1982. The report has been asserbled in its final fom, with assistance from Argonne National Laboratory, and has been hand-carried to those branches having input and review responsibilities (EEB, SAB, AEAB, HGEB, GSB, AEB, ETSB and RAB). The preliminary DES was issued to those branches in December 19811and resulting coments and input have been incorporated into the report.
This memo requests your action insofar as final review and approval of the Midland DES. Coments and changes must be fonvarded to the Licensing Project Manager (Ronald W. Iternan) no later than N00N on Wednesday, February 3,1981, in order to allow adequate time for incorporation and reproduction. You will be asked to approve the printing crder on February 5,1982. Mr. Hernan is located in Room 149 (Old Phillips Building) and can be contacted on extension 28395.
