Change in Responsibilities AECM-82/33 In compliance with the Mississippi Power & Light Operational Quality Assur-ance Manual (MPL-TOP-1A), the following organizational changes which have become effective recently are submitted.

These include changes in responsibilities for the Assistant Vice President, Nuclear Production, the Site Manager, and the Manager of Quality Assurance.

The Management responsibilities of these manager positions and that of the Assistant Vice President, Nuclear Production, have been or will be changed as described in Policy 1, Paragraphs 1. 3.1, 1. 3. 2, 1. 3. 3, 1. 3. 3. 3 a nd 1. 3.15 a s follows:

"1.3.1 Senior Vice President, Nuclear Ultimate responsibility for the safe and reliable operation of the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station rests with the MP&L Senior Vice President, Nuclear. He reports tcr the President of the Company.

The Senior Vice President, Nuclear, provides guidance and corpo-rate quality assurance policies, goals and objectives to the

Haces AECM-82/33 Page 2 "1.3.2 Assistant Vice President, Nuclear Production The Assistant Vice President, Nuclear Production reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Nuclear and is responsible for the administration of all functions associated with the operation of the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station, except those delegated to the Quality Assurance Organization. He maintains a continuing involvement in quality assurance matters and assesses the scope, status, implementation and ef fectiveness of the program through contact with and review of reports issued by the Manager of Quality Assurance.

It is the Assistant Vice President, Nuclear Production's responsibility to assure that the requirements of the Operational Quality Assurance Program are implemented by the organizations under his direction."

"1.3.3 Manager of Quality Assurance The Manager of Quality Assurance reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Nuclear and is delegated the overall authority and responsibility for establishing, controlling and verifying the implementation and adequacy of the Operational Quality Assur-ance Program (including preoperational and startup testing).

This includes the establishment of corporate quality assurance policies, goals and objectives. He is assisted by a staff of quality assurance personnel in residence both in the General Of fice and at the plant site.

The primary duties and responsibilities of the Manager of Quality Assurance include:"

These changes will be incorporated in Revision 3 to the Operational Quality Assurance Manual and are delineated in the attached figure.
