PROMPT NOTIFICATION SYSTEM POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 In accordance with 10 CFR 50, Appendix E, and NUREG-0654, Revision 1, a prompt notification system as described _in our letter to Mr. H. R. Denton of December 16, 1981 has been installed and tested.
The test was completed on January 30, 1982.
After some initial delay due to problems with a telemetry system, full operation of the prompt notification system was achieved at 1:48 p.m. on January 30, 1982.
The difficulties with the tele-metry system and a procedure were noted and have been corrected.
In a subsequent retest on February 6, 1982, a receiver malfunction occurred and is being remedied currently.
A schedule of routine monthly testing has been implemented.
