Final Report of Potentially Reportable Incident No. 50 "Possible Failure of General Electric Type liFA Relays"
Reference:
Telecon f rom L. L. Bass (LP6L) to B. Crossman (USNRC) dated February 5, 1982
Dear Mr. Collins:
The evaluation of Potentially Reportable Incident No. 50 has been completed. The determination has been made that the item is non-reportable under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e).
A thorough investigation of the application of the installed G. E.
Type llFA relays has revealed that they are not utilized in a safety related function.
These relays provide an alarm upon breaker trip, and therefore loss of their function will not be detrimental to plant safety.
If you have any questions, please let us know.
Very trely yours, A
