6 MR. CHILK:
Mr. Chairman, before.ve start we 7 vill need a short notice vote to handle the proposed 8 policy statement of safety goals for nuclear power 9 plants and also for 81-600(a) which is the revised 10 general statement of policy and procedures for 11 enforcement actions.
12 (Chorus of unanimous Ayes.)
13 MR. CHILK:
Would you care to discuss 600(a)?

With regard to 600(a) we 15 had hoped to be able to vote on it today because there 16 had been a concerted effort to try to resolve questions, 17 but I cather that we had a request for delay.
I would 18 hope that we could address it next week and not vote on 19 it today.
20 MR. CHILK:
The other paper is the proposed 21 policy statement on safety goals for nuclear plants.
22 The majority of the Commission, the Chairman, 23 Commissioner Ahearne, Commissioner Bradford and 24 Commisioner Roberts have approved the proposed policy
