Dear Mr. Cunningham:
This letter is a request for a meeting with you to discuss the decontamination and decommissioning activities at the UNC Recovery Systems facility in Wood River Junction, Rhode Island.
Those activities have now progressed to a point where we feel that a meaningful schedule for completion can be discussed.
UNC intends to decontaminate our Rhode Island facility in compliance with applicable NRC regulations, and we desire to complete that activity as rapidly as is practical.
Key to successful completion are a clear definition of all such requirements, and a firm NRC commitment to support the UNC decommissioning schedule.
In order to achieve those goals, I,
the General Manager of the facility, Glenn Amy, and the Plant Manager, Robert Gregg would like to meet with you and your staff I
at your earliest convenience.
