Dear Mr. Stolz:
On July 10, 1981 Toledo Edison submitted a letter (Serial No. 731) to you concerning an application for an Amendment to Facility Operating License No. NPF-3 for Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit "o.

of that amendment request was to change Technical Specifications for the setpoint index of' pressurizer electromatic relief valves and code safety.
valves in Sections 3.4.2, 3.4.3, 4.4.3 and Bases.
This change, although operationally desirable, is not a necessity.
Toledo Edison planned to change the setpoint index for the valves in the upcoming refueling outage. Due to the extensive resource requirements of plant modifications during the refueling, we do not now desire and would not be able to make the changes to the valve setpoints if the amendment was granted. Therefore, Toledo Edison withdraws Attachemnt 2 of the July 10, 1982 application from consideration for this outage. We will
.reinitiate the request at a later date.
