'requesta that you withdraw our termination request of the s@Qggt lieanse G as noteil in our letters of April 15, 1980 and November 2, lpig In lieu of the above, we do request that you contact the Texas Deparlinent of Health, Bureau of Radiation Control, for the purpose of determining which agency will be responsible for releasing various segments of our facility 6

as we endeavor to complete our decontamination and deconmissioning.

I have enclosed a copy of our " Schedule for Decontamination of Todd Research & Technical Division's Waste Facility" (dated 10/5/81) for your files and review.

Your earliest endeavors to establish the parameters of this request will be greatly appreciated as well as possibly identifying to us the member (s) of your staff whom we should be coordinating our efforts thru.

& Radiation Control Texas Department of Health 1106 Clayton Lane Twin Towers Austin, Texas 78756 As a follow-up of our Austin meeting on October 2,1981, please find enclosed a copy of our projected schedule of completion which I understand will be substituted for the December 31, 1931 date referenced in Condition 15 of Amendment flo. 35 to our Radioactive Material License No.11-871.

In addition to the above, it is our understanding from this meeting that:

1) Condition flo.15 will also be changed to reflect the facility decontami-nation will be conducted in accordance with The State Dept. of Health

" Guidelines for Decontamination of Facilities and Equipment Prior to Release for Unrestricted Use or Termination of Licenses" dated August 6, 1974.

2) Condition flo.16 will be rewritten to correct the mix-up in a!10wed quantities on hand and our allowed annual discharge limits.
3) Condition fio. 7.F. will be changed from 15 mci to the 21nCi to correct the typographical errur.

4) The extension date request for Condition flo. 4 should be submitted b l

TRT shortly after Thanksgiving.
