NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF Af1ENDt3ENT TO FACILITY OPERATItiG LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Pegulatory Commission (the Conmission) has issued Aniedd -
ment No. 62. to Fac,ility Operating License No. DPR-51, issued to Arkahas Power and Light Company (the licensee), which revised the Technical Spscifi ations (TSs) for operation of Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 1 (ANO-1) located in Pope f
County, Arkansas. The amendment is' effective as of the date of issuance.
The amendment modifies the ANO-1 TSs to add operating requirements, _
~
limiting conditions for operation, and surveillance requirements for the Reactor Building Cooling Units and to add chlorination requirements for the service water system.
1 The application for the amendment complies with the st'andards and require-7 ments of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Cornission',s rules and regulations ~. The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which i
are set forth in the license amendment.
Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since the amendment does.not involve a significant hazards con-sideration.
The Commission has determined that the issuance of th4s amendment will not result in any significant environmental impact and that, pursuant to 10 CTR 5Gl.5(d)(4) 'an environmental' impact statement or negative declaration and enyimnmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection w'ith issuance
