Tnank you for your letter dated Decenber 15, 1981, concerning the Departr:ent of Enercy's (00E) request for an exemption froa certain Comissicn regulations for the Clinch r.iver Ereeder Reactor.
On Decenber 24, 1901, the Connission issued the enclosed order outlining the procedures.it will be following for considering the merits of DOE's request for an exenotion to pemit then to undertake certain site preparation activities prior to the issuance of a construction pemit or limited worF authorization by the Nuclear Regulatory Comission. The schedule established uould pemit a Comiission decision by early March cn this request.
