10CFR50.59 SAFETY EVALUATION l

1EC-0749 The new shielding for the R.H.R. lines at Elevation 55' in the Auxiliary Building is designed for the Design Base Earthquake; therefore, an unreviewed safety question is not involved.

1EC-0875 The addition of break flanges does not alter the original design concept of the service water system. An unreviewed safety question does not exist.

1SC-0284 This change does not alter the current function of the system and does not raise any safety question.

1SC-0432 No unreviewed safety question is involved as this Design Change Request will only add a helical spring coil in order to reduce vibration on the No. 14 feedwater line.

1SC-0438 This change involves a modification to the manipulator crane fuel assembly gripper. The modification will change the existing gripper oper5 tion from gravity to engage and air to disengage to dual cylinder air to engage and disengage.

The failure of the devices being added does not constitute a new hazard not previously analyzed.

This modification does not affect the logic of the existing safety features which prevents the operation of the gripper except at zero suspended weight.
